MAIP group, a supplier of plastic formula and composite materials to international * * *, recently announced the launch of cherbio series of new automotive composite materials made by Eastman molecular recycling technology.
It is reported that these new composite materials have been certified by ISCC plus, contain chemical recycled components and bio based materials, and can provide a series of functional products with a variety of colors and special aesthetic effects.
Announced the launch of new sustainable polymers for the European automotive market using Eastman's molecular recycling technology.
Cherbio T series products processed with Eastman polyester regeneration technology can provide up to 50% certified recyclable ingredients from post consumer and industrial waste streams. Different from mechanically recycled plastics, it has the same high performance as primary plastics.
Cherbio C series contains up to 48% of bio based components from sustainably managed forests. In addition, the product contains 20% - 40% certified recyclable ingredients, which are processed from waste plastics using Eastman carbon regeneration technology.
Eastman said its proven molecular recycling technology provides real recycling for difficult to recycle waste plastics that are usually burned or sent to landfills. These waste plastics are broken down into useful components and re polymerized into new materials.
At present, Eastman has invested in the construction of molecular recycling facilities in many places to support the production of sustainable materials. Among them, * * * facilities of Eastman in Tennessee are expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2022, and the second facility in France is expected to be completed in 2025.
